Entry 35: Novice

Tips dipped into green paint

Tentatively, I raise the brush,

Toward the cheap canvas

I know not what will emerge

I know for sure I will be bad at this

And for the first time I don’t care

I know only that I am screaming

Without any sound

My voice yearning to be birthed

Into the world

For now I must settle for it to

Stumble onto the canvas
